WHAT WILLWE BE STUDYING? YARBROUGH'S YAK Week of November 5, 2012 A Note from the teacher…. Rules are not meant to provide a way to punish students. They are to teach students appropriate behaviors and increase instructional time. When students don’t follow the rules it affects them AND the other students in the classroom. Please remind your students of this. The main thing we are having problems with is talking while the teacher is talking. Word Work Words Students will be tested on Friday and will have to write each word correctly. These are some examples of word patterns that will be used. The words on this list will not necessarily be the ones tested, but they will follow this spelling pattern. WEEK 13 Blends (bl, cl, fl) blue black blink block blimp clap clip clog club click clock flag flap flat flop flip Sight Words Students will be tested on Friday. Students will have to say each word instantly, without sounding them out. They will not have to write them. over new sound take only little work know place year Homework Daily: Read, or have someone read to you for 10 – 15 minutes. Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday: Math Sheet Word Work sheet. See inside of the Frog book.. Please work on only 10 words per night off the list. Complete Math Sheets every night. Wednesday~ NO HOMEWORK- FAMILY NIGHT Thursday: Please study sight words & word work words for tests tomorrow WHAT WILLWE BE STUDYING?
