Wang Shum Ho four legged stool experiment By Ms. Forever Yuen September 2007 In Hong Kong
Introduction (1) The Wang Shum Ho 4-legged stool experiment was first invented in China in the 1970s during the Cultural Revolution. It started as a game with 4 players. Each player touches the tip of one leg and walk/run when inverted stool on top of bowl of water rotates. The one who cannot keep up loses. Possible for one to fly up similar to spinning a person on the skating ring.
Introduction (2) Wang Shum Ho used this concept in his device. Water is replaced by Ferro-magnetic liquid Humans are replaced spinning magnets This setup combined with solid magnet rotation similar to David Hamel yielded the Wang Generator. http://magnetmotor.go-here.nl/david-hamel/?v=rNNDT5Ge8YA Now under certification testing in China http://www.energyfromair.com/beijing/wang3.htm
The Bowl of Water A simple large bowl filled ¾ with water A transparent bowl is used to see the water movement. May used colored water for better results.
The Four Legged Stool Simple 4-legged stool. Square top is best. Then Circular Then Rectangular The stool used is a common one for retail shops in Hong Kong.
The Arrangement The bowl of water is put on a smooth floor. The inverted stool is put on top. Then 4 persons each put their right hand on the end of each leg and push slightly. The clockwise rotation will become faster and faster.
The Video on Youtube Only the anti-clockwise rotation when the Left Hands are pressed shown Only two person shown because of lack of space in the room. Readers are encouraged to repeat this experiment may be as a party game. Make sure your guests do not get hurt! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74qv3TyYtQY
