Telling others about Jesus

Mark 4: 3-9, 13-20 Farmer: Christians Seed: Bible, Jesus, Gospel Soil: the hearts of those who hear about Jesus PATH (walking path): HARD hearts that won’t allow the Gospel to penetrate. ROCKY SOIL: IMPULSIVE hearts that aren’t fully committed. THORNY GROUND: DIVIDED hearts that try to pursue God and money. GOOD GROUND: SOFT hearts that genuinely receive God.

Telling others about Jesus Since more people will say, “No,” than, “Yes,” scatter as much seed as possible! (Mark 4:3-9, 13-20)

Telling others about Jesus Be wise in how you interact with those who don’t yet believe. Respect their place on their journey. Act wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Your speech should always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer each person. (Colossians 4:5-6) A man scatters seed on the ground; he sleeps and rises – night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows – he doesn’t know how. The soil produces a crop by itself – first the blade, then the head, and the ripe grain on the head. But as soon as the crop is ready, he sends for the sickle, because the harvest has come. (Mark 4:26-29)

Telling others about Jesus Scatter as much seed as possible because more people will say, “no,” than, “yes.” (Mark 4:3-9, 13-20) Be wise in how you interact with those who don’t yet believe. Respect their place on their journey. (Colossians 4:6) Let God be God; let Him do His work in people’s hearts. (1 Cor. 3:5-7). We can scatter seed. We need to be wise. But only God’s Spirit can convince people to follow Jesus.
