From: Evidence that global processing does not limit thresholds for RF shape discrimination Journal of Vision. 2011;11(3):6. doi:10.1167/11.3.6 Figure Legend: Radial amplitude modulation (%) at shape discrimination threshold is plotted as a function of the radial modulation frequency for RF stimuli (SF = 0.75 cpd, radius = 2.4 deg) that isolate the luminance mechanism (Ach), the L/M-cone opponent (RG) mechanism, and the S-cone opponent (BY) mechanism. Contrasts are scaled to 5× detection threshold. Results are the average of the two subjects tested (KTM and IVI). Shape discrimination thresholds measured without a comparison with the perfect circle (Yes/No procedure) and with a comparison with the perfect circle (2AFC procedure) are compared. Error bars show +1 SE. Date of download: 10/23/2017 The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology Copyright © 2017. All rights reserved.
