Adventures in Computational Thinking Rosemary Maciel, Fall 2015 Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel Advanced features include: Data translated into graphics Using functions EASIER to ORGANIZE information! Making Information Available to the World with HTML and Web Pages Add more elements in webpages By using specific tags (In picture) Different types of lists Tables Different types of fonts Computational Thinking Everything I have come to learn about creating web- Pages derived from this basic HTML skeleton and has allowed me to develop skills in creating web pages using JavaScript. Presentation of Information with MS PowerPoint Benefit: Present information/data used in Excel in the form of a Powerpoint IDLE(Integrated Development and Learning Environment) Programming with Python I learned how to create programs that involved loops in which the user can choose options that will eventually lead them to an ending result! Desktop Publishing with MS Word Explore advanced features of Microsoft Word These features include: changing the font sizes changing font colors adding bullet points Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript By applying what I’ve learned using HTML and JavaScript, my webpages are now able to interact with the user. (In picture) When user enters a number, it will be converted into a binary number. How is this useful in the real world ? When creating RESUMES !
