What Children See in Their Fathers             It is the Time Men to Start Being Fathers and the Leaders of the Home God Intended Them To Be. 25

Being Fathers Means Taking Your Responsibilities. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 26

Being Fathers Means Taking Your Responsibilities. “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 27

Practical Instructions Dedicate your children to God 2. Teach your children to fear the Lord 3. Teach them to hate iniquity 5. Protect them from ungodly 6. Establish them in church 28

Our Prayer: Let us praise those fathers who by their own account were not always there for their children, but who continue to offer those children, now grown, their love and support. Let us pray for those fathers who have been wounded by the neglect and hostility of their children.  29

Our Prayer: Let us praise those fathers who, despite divorce, have remained in their children's lives. Let us praise those fathers whose children are adopted, and whose love and support has offered healing. 30

Our Prayer: Let us praise those fathers who, as stepfathers, freely choose the obligation of fatherhood and earned their step children's love and respect. Let us praise those fathers who have lost a child to death, and continue to hold the child in their heart.  31

Our Prayer: Let us praise those men who have no children, but cherish the next generation as if they were their own. Let us praise those men who have "fathered" us in their role as mentors and guides.  Let us praise those men who are about to become fathers; may they openly delight in their children.  32

Our Prayer: And let us praise those fathers who have died, but live on in our memory and whose love continues to nurture us.  33

Our Prayer: God, bless all the fathers in the world. Guide them to be good role models and loving to all their children. Help them to be a father like You are. Give them grace and patience to handle situations in a loving way.  34

Our Prayer: God our Father, in your wisdom and love you made all things. Bless these men,  that they may be strengthened as Christian fathers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honour them always  with a spirit of profound respect.  Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen 35
