Course Description Anatomy is defined as the branch of science that studies the structure of body parts and their organization. Physiology is defined as the branch of science that studies how these parts function. The Skeletal system, the Muscular system, the Nervous system, the Endocrine system, the Cardiovascular system, the Lymphatic system, the Digestive system, the Respiratory system, the Urinary system, the Reproductive system and the Integumentary system will all be considered.

Q.O.D. A male patient in your office presents with the following: his hair appears to be thinning, skin is dry and nails are brittle. He complains that he has trouble concentrating and remembering things, like where his keys are. He reports feeling tired on a regular basis. He is 28 years old and overweight. 1) Identify the signs and symptoms 2) What steps would you take to diagnose this patient.

Grading Procedure Grades are based on a point system. Grades are calculated by taking the points that are earned and dividing by the total points available. Evaluation is based on the following: Tests: 100-150 points each Quizzes: 20-60 points each Lab reports: 10-20 points Homework checks: 5-10 points Various projects: Point values to be determined
