Child Labour Olivia and Anna

Child labour Child labour occurs when children under the minimum age are forced to work In dangerous places like mining sites, illegal drug trade, and other. Most child labour happens in the southern continents such as Africa and countries in Europe. In these countries many kids don’t have the abiity to have education, good food, clean water, freedom, and protection.

Which countries are affected

Which countries are affected It happens in a lot of countries but it is the most sever in Africa, Asia , the pacific but also in some parts of America , Cuba, Mexico and more. The countries that are affected are a risk to many children. For example America is the 141 in rank and is at medium risk of child labour.

How are children effected by child labour Children are effected by child labour because they work in dangerous places which effects their healthcare Children are also effected when they are introduced to unsafe environments When Children are working in mines they are sometimes injured in mine collapses while processing gold.

Who is helping Scream is an organization that is helping stop child labour. This organization is willing to help by trying to eliminate child labour by solving worldwide problems. unions and grassroots see the danger towards the children so they are trying to fight against child labour.

how is Canada helping Since Canada is part of the united nations together with the organization they are working to stop child labour. Canada is also helping by protecting children from violence and abuse.

When and why did child labour start Child labour started in 1870’s and 1880’s but did not get recognized until the 20th century. Child labour started because many families did not have the money to pay for food and daily life supplies. Kids still continue to do child labour to earn money for their famillies

The catholic church involved in child labour The catholic church says that “child labour, in its intolerable forms, constitutes a kind of violence that is less obvious than others but it is not for this reason any less terrible”. The catholic church also states that we should all live in a fair society. The children that are involved go against the social teachings.
