Six Word Memoir http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBnP0DoGjRI Write your Six Word Memoir Classmate Presentations on Thursday/Friday

Classmate Presentation Since this class emphasizes discussions and presentations heavily, one of our first objectives is to get to know each other in order to help you feel comfortable. To that end, you’ll be introducing one of your classmates to the class.

Classmate Presentation I. Get in order of oldest to youngest/Pair up II. Sit down with your partner and gather some information: A. First name; last name; nickname B.Their six word memoir and why they crafted it as they did. C. Hobbies/interests D. Strange/interesting fact (if any)

Gingerbread You! Purpose: This gingerbread person should be a representation of you. Decorate him or her so that your unique qualities shine through and your classmates can get a sense of who you are. Be thoughtful, creative and have fun!

Gingerbread You! Directions 1. Cut out the ‘gingerbread’ guy or gal.  2. Cut out pictures and words from magazines, the internet, your own photos, etc. that are representative of you and attach them to the human shape. These images and words must be appropriate for school (your parents will see them at Open House!). 3. You may also use markers to add to your representation. 4. Present yourself to the class. Explain why you chose the pictures and words you did. The goal is for the class to have a better idea of who you are.   Due Date: Monday, September 12th or Tuesday, September 13th
