When it comes to obeying God There is no excuse for Excuses

Men have made excuses for sin from the beginning Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” And the LORD God said to the woman,“What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” -- Genesis 3:12-13 Man: She gave it to me! Woman: The serpent deceived me! God held both man & woman responsible for their own actions. Men have made excuses for sin from the beginning

We must stop making excuses for sin! He/she made me do it! I couldn't help it. I was told it was okay. It sounded good to me. I wasn't the only one! Others have done worse things! It's not a big deal. That's just the way I am. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” -- 2 Corinthians 5:10

We must stop making excuses for not fulfilling our promises to God! “Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error. Why should God be angry at your excuse and destroy the work of your hands?” -- Ecclesiastes 5:6

We must stop making excuses for not helping in the Lord’s work If You Keep Asking Others to Give You the Benefit of the Doubt, They’ll Eventually Start to Doubt Your Benefit

Jesus told a parable about three men who were invited to a great feast: “But they all with one accord began to make EXCUSES. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’ Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’” -- Luke 14:18-20

We must stop making excuses for not answering the Lord’s invitation! Jesus said, “For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.” -- Luke 14:24

There is no excuse for failing to acknowledge and serve God. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse -- Romans 1:20-21
