Homework Tuesday, June 12, 2018 Study WOW!! Objective: YWBAT analyze what happens to radiation that reaches the Earth. Drill: The influence of greenhouse gases on temperature is called the greenhouse effect. How do greenhouse gases affect the heat flow into and out of Earth’s atmosphere? Homework Study WOW!!

Answer Greenhouse gases do not affect the heat flow into Earth’s atmosphere. Greenhouse gases block the flow of heat out of Earth’s atmosphere. As the percentage of greenhouse gases increases, the amount of heat that escapes into space decreases.

Did you know…? Average global sea level is expected to rise 7 – 23 inches before the end of this century.

Today’s Activities Drill Greenhouse Effect: Gizmo Atmosphere DRW: Section 3 & 4 Conclusion

What are some possible consequences of climate change? Closure What are some possible consequences of climate change?

Conclusion Answer Hotter summers and milder winters Changing climate patterns through the world Melting ice caps and resulting sea-level rises. Stronger and more frequent storms.
