Learning Outcome At the end of this class, student will be able to : Identify the difference between entrepreneur and cyberpreneur. Understand the characteristics of successful cyberpreneur. Describe the current and future challengers and opportunities of cyber business Define and explain the meaning, importance and opportunities of e-business.

Introduction Entrepreneur is the person who starts a business enterprise with the intent on seeing it become successful. There could exploit the creativity, innovation, opportunity ,risks, supply and demand in contributing towards profitability. Cyberpreneur is a business activity and business by using improved computer technology, especially the Internet and businesses that are promoted through electronic brochures, known as the homepage on the Internet.

Characteristic of successful cyberpreneur.

Characteristic of successful cyberpreneur. Tolerance for failure Entrepreneurs are not easily frustrated, desperate & sad when experiencing failure. They learn from failure than success. More Energy (High Level of Energy) Entrepreneurs are more eager to allow them to bear the burden and pressure they will face. Teamwork (Team Building) Successful entrepreneurs often have a standard (quality) is high, eager to help the company grow and develop.  Independent (Independent) They love getting something done with their own way and have the power (right) to make important decisions.

Characteristic of successful cyberpreneur. Flexible They are very flexible, able to change the manner and in accordance with customer requirements and business environment for the changing world economy. Creative and Innovative Mind is a creative, innovative and imaginative, well- entrepreneurs can produce specific products and services to consumers and creativity can be learned. Looking for Feedback (Seeking Feedback) Entrepreneurs like to know how their performance and often tried to fix it via the feedback.

The Current & Future Challenges Fraud in cyberspace. Create consumer confidence in online business is still lacking. Fraud is often the case that the money was paid but not delivered product, or product quality does not match the image shown. Online business competition is very high.  Advances in technology, it supports most of the people market their products over the internet.  Constraints internet connection.  For an online business who live in urban areas, probably not the Internet connection constraints. But for colleagues who live in the suburbs, the Internet connection is still very limited. Lack of knowledge about online business.  Many people who go along with running an affiliate business or opening an online store, but he did not know what to do to support business success. So that online business is run, the results are not optimal.

E-business Electronic business, or e-business, is the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) in support of all the activities of business. Companies go online to engage in advertising, buying and selling of products and services. E-business includes a collaborating with distributor and sales promotions, interacting with and servicing the customers and conducting joint research with business partners

Opportunities in e-business Selling goods online: Selling goods online is probably the simplest way you can start an e-business. Depending on your business plan, you can put up an online store for a very small investment or you can spend millions.

Opportunities in e-business Service Companies: The Internet can be used for a lot more than just selling products. Companies are now moving toward service-oriented models, using the Internet as a delivery vehicle to provide services to consumers and to other businesses. There are a variety of services that can be offered using the Internet. Example: An Internet service provider (ISP) is a company that provides web hosting services that allow individuals or companies access to the Internet along with additional related services, such as Web site building.

Opportunities in e-business Distance learning: Now it's possible for employees to get training on demand, right at the desktop, delivered via the Internet. Becoming a part of this training delivery vehicle can be lucrative. Telecommunications: Internet telephony, a new type of technology that allows you to place long distance calls over the Internet at very low cost. It is an area with lots of potential for service-oriented companies.

Opportunities in e-business Information and content provider: The World Wide Web has turned publishing on its ear, giving you the opportunity to create a publication without having to invest in printing presses, ink or paper.
