WE WILL DISCUSS Proper Shop Behavior Proper Dress Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Fire Safety Blood Bourne Pathogens Safety Signage (TERMS) Safety Colors Basic Tools Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)

Your Safety and the Safety of others is at Stake!!! WALK – Never run Never clown around Be considerate of others Stay in your assigned area

Always Practice Correct Safety Procedures Dress Correctly Report any unsafe conditions to instructor IMMEDIATELY Never use Equipment your not trained to use

If your not using the tool LEAVE IT ALONE Get permission to use any tool or equipment Only one student at a time use a tool Don’t throw it away!!

Do not rely on the protective gear to keep you safe Only use a tool for its specific purpose

Do not use power tools unless your instructor is present At the End of Each Hour Stay on a Dry Floor Do not use power tools unless your instructor is present

At the End of Each Hour Tools must be in place and lab cleaned after each class…..

Fire Safety You can use a fire extinguisher to stop a small fire Using the wrong type of fire extinguisher could KILL YOU!!!!
