Have you lost weight?

Have you lost weight? When you ask someone if he or she lost weight, you are still calling them fat…even fat from before. Instead, say something like, "You look fabulous! I sure wish I had your secret."

You look terrible.

Are you alright?

Are you not feeling well?

Are you not feeling well? This is an insult, even if you say it out of concern because you're telling the person she doesn't look good. You would be better off asking, "How are you?”

Your face is glowing, these days!

When is your baby due?

you just said you thought the person's mid section had grown you just said you thought the person's mid section had grown. You're better off not even mentioning pregnancy. Simply ask how the person is doing, and if she's pregnant and wants to share her news, she will.

What part of America are you from?

What part of America are you from? What if the person is from Canada? Canadians are very sensitive to this… What part of Africa are you from? What if the person is from England? America? Canada? A Spanish country? (There are many dark-skinned Latinos!)

Are you still single?

Are you still single? This is quite rude. simply ask if he has been seeing anyone special lately.

So, what are you up to, these days?

How old are you?

How old are you? Why do you care? Unless you are a medical person filling out a patient's file, it is rude to ask someone his age.

If you don’t mind my asking, how old are you?

I want that new Samsung Note!

I paid a fortune for this Galaxy Note!

I paid a fortune… Don't be one of "those" people who focus on the cost of big-ticket items. You'll sound like a snob if you come right out and tell people how much something cost.

You look very nice. It’s just not my style.

I wouldn’t be caught dead in that!

I wouldn't be caught dead in that. This is an outright insult. If you are someone who would even think about saying something so rude, then we can’t help you. find something else to talk about.

Let’s review What part of America are you from? Have you lost weight? You look fantastic! are you not feeling well? Are you alright? You are glowing, these days. When is your baby due? What part of America are you from? What country are you from? Are you busy, these days? Are you still single? I paid a fortune for that… I wouldn’t be caught dead in that!
