TOUCHING LITTLE HEARTS A PROJECT FOR PAEDIATRIC CARDIAC SURGERIES

HISTORY The Children’s Heart Centre ( CHC ) at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital ( KDAH ) started functioning in 2009. Has a dedicated & experienced team of Paediatric Cardiologists, Paediatric Cardiac Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Intensivists & Nurses. In six years, this centre has grown to be the largest centre in Western India

MAKING A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE… To date nearly 5000 children have been treated by surgery or interventions for congenital heart defects. 70% of the children have been newborns or infants. The youngest baby to undergo surgery has been 17 hours after birth and the oldest person to have complex congenital heart repair had been 48 years of age.

RESULTS 96% success rate Nearly matching that of advanced centres of the United States, in Boston or Philadelphia (97-98%) Children from all sections of society have been catered to, and more than 30 to 40 percent of them… nearly 1000 children, have been from the lower socioeconomic classes needing financial assistance. The CHC prides itself in not having refused surgical or other forms of treatments for any child based on affordability

YES, WE CAN HELP… We Rotarians of Dist 3140 feel privileged and thank GOD for a 100% success rate in the approximately 200 infants and children surgically operated upon through us between Dec 2102 and Jan 2016, for a variety of closed-heart procedures and complex major open-heart surgeries. Our motto is to put better than our best foot forward in the service of the needy.

EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS You may, in your own significant way, valuably contribute towards the heart surgery of the next infant –beneficiary…by making out a cheque favouring ‘Mandke Foundation’ and also avail of Sec.80G benefit. We acknowledge you and thank you with all our heart for being sympathetic to our cause and mission of putting our best foot forward in the service of the needy….

WILL YOU TOUCH A LITTLE HEART TODAY? THANK YOU
