Emigration My Grandma Austin’s family moved over to the United States from Sweden. When they reached America they moved to Pennsylvania and became miners. My Grandpa Austin’s family lived in France and England. They moved to America and lived in Texas. The Austin’s were circus members.

Weddings Married June 21, 1944 was Mr. and Mrs. William Foster, Jr. Married August 14, 1940 was Mr. and Mrs. Dickson Austin, Sr. Married May 19, 1967 was Mr. and Mrs. Dickson Austin, Jr. Married December 19, 1992 was Mr. and Mrs. James Austin. Married November 16, 2013 was Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Bassett.

In Memory of… My great grandpa Hines died in 1978. My great grandpa Foster died in 1980. My great grandma Foster died in 1987. My great, great aunt Steffie died in 1988. My great grandma Hines died in 1990. My grandpa Austin died in 1992. My Nana Foster died in 1996. My Papa Foster died in 2008. My great aunt Florine died in 2006.

Religious Sacraments My mother was baptized in 1945 in Texas and was confirmed in 1958 in Redondo Beach, Ca. My dad was baptized in 1942 in Texas. My brother was baptized in 1970 in Laguna Hills, CA and was confirmed in 1983 at St. Kilian’s. I was baptized in 1977 at St. Kilian’s and confirmed in 1993 at San Francisco Salano, I received my 1st communion at St. Catherine’s School in Laguna Beach. My God parents are Chuck and Carol Lynn Lockard.

Military Service My Papa Foster was in the marines and helped in World War II and the Korean War. He dropped the last bomb in the Korean War. He flew soldiers over to Vietnam during the Vietnam War as a pilot of American Airlines. My Grandpa Austin helped transport the military to from Hawaii during World War II. My uncle served in the Vietnam War.

Schooling Grade School: I attended O’neil Elementary for kindergarten to 1st grade. From 2nd to 5th grade, I went to St. Catherine’s. Junior High: I attended St. John’s Episcopal School. High School: I am a graduated of SMCHS. College: I am alum of the University of Arizona, The University of Phoenix, and Concordia University, Irvine. Through those colleges I obtained a BA in Family Studies/Human Development, a single subject teaching credential and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.
