Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16v18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 13v10 Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.

Proverbs 13v1 A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke.

He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble. Proverbs 3v34 He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble.

Proverbs 15v33 The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honour.

Philippians 2v6-11 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,  but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross!

Hebrews 3v12-13 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.  But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
