Throughout the history of this great land, men and women have sacrificed their lives that we might continue to live as free people, and worship God where and when and how we want to.

Can you name these wars?

Inscribed upon the Liberty Bell… “Proclaim liberty throughout all the land.” What is the source?

Leviticus 25:10 10 And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. NKJV

You can separate the world into two groups: The free nations, and the slave. The free nations trust in the God of the Bible, the greatest liberator the world has ever known. The slave nations trust in false gods or no God at all.

When it comes to the rest of the world and the global community—there’s a reason America finds it hard to win support—we’re free, we’re prosperous, we’re sovereign, and we trust in God.

The number one ally of America is God—and we must do everything we can to keep that status.

Our currency has “In God we Trust” inscribed upon it Our currency has “In God we Trust” inscribed upon it. If it is removed, can you imagine what will take its place? “In nothing we trust”? “In government we trust”? “In the United Nations we trust”? Just leave it like it is. None of the others will keep us free.  

In the early days Americans held it’s leaders accountable first to God, and then to the people.  

As long as we call on, trust in, and rely on God, we will continue to be free.   There is no freedom without God, and without His favor, not much to fight for.

1 Corinthians 7: 23 You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men.  

Deut 4:7-9 7 What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the LORD our God is near us whenever we pray to him? 8 And what other nation is so great as to have such righteous decrees and laws as this body of laws I am setting before you today?  

Memorial Day is a religious holiday. I dare say no other religion cares as much about freedom as does Christianity, and no one cares as much for our fallen soldiers and their families as does the church of Jesus Christ. 

Jesus said, “If the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed” (Jn The rule of men, and even the rule of false religion can take us into slavery…. but Jesus always leads us into freedom.

Galatians 5:1 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.  

1 Peter 2:16 16 Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.
