Presentation transcript:

Revision of Waves topic (Light & Sound) Describe how sound is caused. Write a definition of sound. Describe how sound is caused. List the different mediums sound can travel through Write down what pitch is. Draw a sound wave for high and low frequency Label on the sound waves ‘amplitude’ and ‘wavelength’ Describe in words what amplitude and wavelength are Draw sound waves of a loud, medium and quiet sound Name the different parts of the ear in order of when sound waves hit the ear Write down the functions of each part of the ear What do we measure loud sound in? Explain what a ‘loud sound’ is Give ways in which you can protect your ears from loud sound. Describe what will happen when the ray is shone at the mirror; draw an accurate ray diagram to show this. – Explain why this happens. Describe what will happen when the ray is shone at the glass block; draw a ray diagram to show this. Explain why this happens. Describe what will happen when the ray is shone at the prism. Write a paragraph of how sound travels to the ear and why we should protect them from loud sounds. Then write how our eyes could be damaged and how we should look after them.
