A story is… a description of how something happened with time sequence everywhere --- songs, ads, slogans, headlines, poems, movies composition, drama…

Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree Who is the narrator? When does the story happen? Where does the story happen? What is the narrator doing? Why is the narrator nervous? How does the story end ?

Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree Who? A man (was a prisoner) When? Not mentioned Where? On a bus What? He is coming home. Why? He returned from the jail, but he didn’t know if he should get off the bus. How? A yellow ribbon round the old oak tree

Time Sequence--- Echo & Narcissus 1. Echo was a nymph. She liked to talk very much. 2. One day, Hera was searching for her husband. 3. However, Echo kept interrupting Hera, so Hera made Echo repeat others’ words. 4. Echo wandered alone in the forests since then. 5. One afternoon, Echo found a handsome boy, Narcissus. She was in love with him suddenly. 6. Nevertheless, no one could catch Narcissus’ eye until he saw his own reflection in the water.

7. Narcissus showed his love toward his reflection 7. Narcissus showed his love toward his reflection. Echo repeated Narcissus’ words. 8. Narcissus misunderstood Echo’s words for those from his own reflection. 9. Narcissus touched the water and his reflection was gone. 10. Narcissus plunged into water and died. 11. Echo was in great grief. Then, she faded away and what was left of her was her voice. 12. Later, a flower grew on the very spot where Narcissus was last seen.
