WBS 1.5.2 ESTEO Mission Extended Collaborative Support for Training, Education and Outreach prepares the current and next generation of researchers, engineers, and scholars in the use of advanced digital technologies by providing the technical support for Training- and Education and Outreach-planned activities.

Extended Support for Training, Education and Outreach (ESTEO) Provides technical support for training, education and outreach activities for XSEDE Live training events Develop training materials Support online education courses Support outreach workshops

Extended Support for Training, Education and Outreach (ESTEO) But there is more! Provided sufficient demand, staff campus training events – “user-requested” training Request specific topics for training via help@xsede.org Become a remote site for distributed workshop Participate in trainer certifications Request new training material development

New Developments in ESTEO Collaborating with Training, Education and Outreach: incorporate elements of MOOCS to improve delivery Training formalism: review training against rubrics, competencies Foundation for assessments and new certificate program (both under development) Improve tracking, coordination and collaboration by use of Atlassian Jira
