Oct 3+4, 2016 Do Now Grab Chromebook Grab “Signature Page” (2 Colleges due end of week: See College Counselor before adding colleges to the handout) Go to Naviance and pull up both your FSA ID and your parent FSA ID Pull up your CCBot and begin looking for more colleges to add to your list. (You will be going over your list with your college counselor this week.)

Announcements FAFSA has officially opened! Remember to put 2017-2018 as the school year on your FAFSA DO NOT PUT 2016-2017! 10/6+7: Signature Sheet Deadline for your first 2 colleges: At least 2 colleges must be added to your “Colleges I’m Thinking About” list on Naviance (One of these MUST be a state school!) – Worth 40pts each when submitted with your college counselor’s approval on October 13+14th. ***Must obtain signatures of parents AND advisor for any school you’re applying to! ***DO NOT submit ANY applications without approval of college counselor!

UPCOMING DEADLINES Thurs/Friday: Signature Page with first 2 Colleges Signed by parent/guardian & advisor Saturday: Mandatory FAFSA Workshop Must attend unless you have emailed Mr. Jackson your confirmation email October 13+14: Two Completed College Applications Both need to be “OK’d” by your college counselor At least 1 from the Common App (must have entire common app finished by this deadline) 1 state school
