The AD 70 Doctrine 2 Timothy 2:14-19

What if I told you that … The Basic Tenets Of The AD 70 Doctrine 2/19/2017 pm What if I told you that … The 2nd Coming of Christ Occurred more than 1900 Years Ago And, at the same time Jesus established His eternal Kingdom Also, the Resurrection of the Dead happened at that time And, at that same time the Final Judgment Took Place And, the End of the World happened at that same time! The Basic Tenets Of The AD 70 Doctrine Micky Galloway

“The Holy Scriptures teach that the second coming of Christ, including the establishment of the eternal kingdom, the day of judgment, the end of the world and the resurrection of the dead occurred with the fall of Judaism in AD 70.” (Max King, July 1973) “The holy Scriptures teach that the second coming of Christ, including the establishment of the eternal kingdom, the day of judgment, the end of the world and the resurrection of the dead occurred with the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD” (Charles Geiser)

(Transitional Period) 2/19/2017 pm AD 70 Doctrine Coming of Christ “Last Days” AD 70 AD 30 ETERNAL DAYS (Transitional Period) Destruction of Jerusalem “We are now in that world ‘which is to come’ … instead of being in last days we are in eternal days world without end (Ephesians 3:21).” (The Spirit of Prophecy, Max King, page 81) Micky Galloway

Earth continues eternally Destruction of Jerusalem 2/19/2017 pm 70AD Earth continues eternally eschaton From 70 AD onward—all are living “in the resurrection,” & after the return of Christ. Messianic Reign 40-Years “Kingdom of Christ” Destruction of Jerusalem 2nd Coming “Kingdom of God” [full glory & power] Resurrection Final Judgment End of the World This means that during the eschaton (climax of history, jrb) the believers lived in a tension of experienced and anticipated eschatology; between “the already” and “the not yet.” They were already in the kingdom of Christ (Colossians 1:13), but still waiting for the coming of the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:24-28). (Max King, “The Cross and the Parousia of Christ,” page 32) Micky Galloway

Says, the Second coming of Christ is past Says, the Second coming of Christ is past. There is no end of the world, no future resurrection, no future judgment. It all happened in 70 AD, and will not occur in the future. “We know the earth abides forever. (Ecclesiastes 1:4) So as men are born – men die, and judgment is an ongoing continuing process. Judgment by Jesus Christ began in AD 70, but it is obviously not a one-time event.” (Arthur Melanson) “What will happen at the end of time? The Bible nowhere speaks of the end of time, so there is no Biblical answer to this question.” (Samuel Dawson – Essays on Eschatology)

Says, the Second coming of Christ is past Says, the Second coming of Christ is past. There is no end of the world, no future resurrection, no future judgment. It all happened in 70 AD, and will not occur in the future. “There is no time period between the fall of Jerusalem and the second coming of Christ. They are synchronous events time-wise … There is no scriptural basis for extending the second coming of Christ beyond the fall of Judaism.” (Max King - The Spirit of Prophecy, pages 81, 105).

Says, the Second coming of Christ is past Says, the Second coming of Christ is past. There is no end of the world, no future resurrection, no future judgment. It all happened in 70 AD, and will not occur in the future. Max King in commenting on Matthew 24:1-3 said (The Spirit of Prophecy, page 68), “This was the end of the world, the destruction of the temple, and the coming of Christ. This was when heaven and earth passed away.”

Says, the Second coming of Christ is past Says, the Second coming of Christ is past. There is no end of the world, no future resurrection, no future judgment. It all happened in 70 AD, and will not occur in the future. “The futurist fails to realize the world that ended was not a literal planet but an age – a Jewish age. The works burned up were the weak and beggarly elements of the Old Covenant – the Law.” (Arthur Melanson)

Says, the Second coming of Christ is past Says, the Second coming of Christ is past. There is no end of the world, no future resurrection, no future judgment. It all happened in 70 AD, and will not occur in the future. “Resurrection also has to be a continuous, ongoing process … What the futurist overlooks is resurrection is not a one-time event. Resurrection, like judgment, continues as long as the earth remains and men are born unto women. There was a harvest resurrection in AD 70, but we have not yet entered into the process. We will, but not yet.” (Arthur Melanson)

Says, the Second coming of Christ is past Says, the Second coming of Christ is past. There is no end of the world, no future resurrection, no future judgment. It all happened in 70 AD, and will not occur in the future. Max King (The Spirit of Prophecy, page 212) “The author sincerely believes that the general resurrection belongs to the same time and event as given to the coming of Christ …” (The destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD).

First Century Deniers of a Future Resurrection. Ecclesiastes 1:9, “That which hath been is that which shall be; and that which hath been done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” First Century Deniers of a Future Resurrection. “Sadducees say that there is no resurrection” (Acts 23:6-8) “Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort” (2 Timothy 2:17) Corinthians, “some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead” (1 Corinthians 15:12) “Last Day” John 6:40-54; 11:24-25; 12:48

Consequences It cannot be simply a matter of opinion. (Galatians 1:6-9) It denies the one hope of believers. (Ephesians 4:4; Romans 8:23-25) It renders Pentecost irrelevant. (Acts 2; Acts 11:15) It totally rejects a coming day of Judgment. (John 12:48; Acts 17:31) It denies a future resurrection of the dead. (1 Corinthians 15:12; John 11:23-24)

Daniel 2:44 Luke 2:1-2 Galatians 4:4 Acts 2:29-36 Luke 1:32-37 Says, the Kingdom of God came with glory and power in 70 AD NOT on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2. Daniel 2:44 Luke 2:1-2 Galatians 4:4 2 Samuel 7:12-16 Acts 2:29-36 Luke 1:32-37 But the Scriptures teach that it came with glory and power on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2!

2/19/2017 pm But, the Kingdom of God came with glory and power on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, NOT 70 AD. 2 Samuel 7:12-14 When thy days are fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, that shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son Acts 2:30-33 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins he would set (one) upon his throne; he foreseeing (this) spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. This Jesus did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses. Being therefore by the right hand of God exalted … Micky Galloway

To Look Beyond AD 70 is without Bible Authority “There is no scriptural basis for extending the second coming of Christ beyond the fall of Judaism.” (King, page 105) “… the end of the Jewish world was the second coming of Christ.” (King, page 81) “Prophecy found its complete fulfillment in the second coming of Christ, and now may be regarded as closed and consummated.” (King, page 65) False Doctrine!

“Comings” Of The Lord His Birth. Malachi 3:1, “Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom ye desire, behold, he cometh, saith Jehovah of hosts.” Malachi 4:5, “Behold, I will send you Elijah (cf. Matthew 11:14) the prophet before the great and terrible day of Jehovah come.”

“Comings” Of The Lord Representatively in the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit was sent to His apostles: “I will come to you.” John 14:18 (28); cf. 15:26

“Comings” Of The Lord Comes to have fellowship through His word. John 14:23, “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

“Comings” Of The Lord Conditional coming judgment of a local church. Revelation 2:5, “Remember therefore whence thou art fallen, and repent and do the first works; or else I come to thee, and will move thy candlestick out of its place, except thou repent.” Revelation 2:16, “Repent therefore; or else I come to thee quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of my mouth.”

“Comings” Of The Lord Comes in judgment upon Jerusalem. Matthew 24:30, “and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” cf. Matthew 22:7 Matthew 23:36 Matthew 24:34

The Personal, Bodily Return of Jesus did not Happen in AD 70 Jesus will come again. Hebrews 9:27 John 14:1-3 Acts 1:9-11 1 John 3:2 1 Corinthians 15:22-26 1 Thessalonians 4:16 2 Peter 3:3-11

If Jesus has already appeared/come . . . Why do Christians eat the Lord's Supper? 1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes. Lord’s Supper no longer proclaims Christ’s death until He comes. Lord’s Supper is no longer applicable to Christians, since we are now living in the “eternal days,” and cease partaking of it. Most songs must be eliminated from worship

If the Resurrection is past . . . Why do people continue to marry? Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven. Luke 20:34-36 Jesus contrasts “this world” and “that world” following the resurrection of the dead, and concludes that while marriage occurs in “this world,” it will not be so in “that world.”

Three stages of “resurrection”: Says, the Resurrection of the dead came in AD 70, and no believer will have a bodily resurrection. Three stages of “resurrection”: Stage 1 – Resurrection of Christ and the beginning of His Messianic (age ending) reign. Stage 2 – Dying to the “old age” and the “rising” to the new in 70 AD Stage 3 – “Resurrection” of each believer at the moment of death.

The Lord’s second coming 2 Peter 3:10-11 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness ouranos The vaulted expanse of the sky with all things visible in it, the universe, the world. How should we view the AD 70 Doctrine? 2 Timothy 2:16-18 Saying the resurrection is past is: Verse 16 ~ Profane and idle babblings. Verse 16 ~ Ungodliness. Verse 17 ~ A spreading cancer. Verse 18 ~ A straying from the truth. Verse 18 ~ An overthrowing of the faith of some.
