Characteristics of Hunter syndrome (MPS-II) Characteristics of Hunter syndrome (MPS-II). While similarly enlarged head and coarse facies to MPS-IH, Hunter patients (MPS-II) bear more resemblance to family members than Hurler patients. Features include flat nose, depressed nasal bridge, enlarged tongue, and low hairline (A–D). Hunter patients do not have corneal clouding or gibbus. Claw-hand deformity with broad and stubby fingers (E). (Reproduced with permission from Susan Berry, MD, University of Minnesota Medical School.)
