Calculation of alternative coefficients for cluster classification from QCD di-jet data H A D R O N I C C A L I B R A T I O N W O R K S H O P May 2006 Martin Pécsy Comenius University, Bratislava diploma student

Analysis of jet clusters coefficients for cluster classification can be derived from QCD di-jets data the same way as for pions my task was to do that this task required lot of CPU time because of the large amount of data we used three topological moments from CaloTopoClusterMaker correlated with EM fraction of energy we calculated fraction of EM energy as a mean value from this three topological moments Hadronic calibration workshop, MPI Munich, 03 May 2006

Analysis We tested 25 η bins for different energy cut to define the range where the method works. cut 2 GeV Hadronic calibration workshop, MPI Munich, 03 May 2006

Analysis - one interval η for different energy cuts cut 1 Gev Hadronic calibration workshop, MPI Munich, 03 May 2006

Conclusions used topological moments of clusters are good correlated with EM fraction of energy also for jets the method for classification of pions works also for jets I assign additional coefficients from jet data, which can by used for classification of clusters, although probably the coeficients from pion data will be used Hadronic calibration workshop, MPI Munich, 03 May 2006
