Proposed ASOCIO - WITSA Collaboration on Research in 2017 - 2020

About ASOCIO Established in 1984 to voice for the regional ICT industry, to promote trade and investment and to facilitate collaboration between and among members. Representing 24 economies in Asia and Oceania with more than 10,000 members’ member. Activities range from ASOCIO ICT Summit, multilateral trade visit to research and papers, to policy endorsement and advocacy.

Objectives Working together to strengthen WITSA and ASOCIO’s position as a global and regional ICT voice Implementing collaboration project under the MoU between WITSA and ASOCIO Upgrading recognition of WITSA and ASOCIO and its brand Providing valuable, interesting information and data to members of WITSA and ASOCIO

Collaboration with WITSA ASOCIO : administrative support, media release, teaming up with the committee members Research committee members : FKII, JISA, NASSCOM, PIKOM etc. Partners Research partners : consulting firms, research firms, etc. Supporting Partner : WITSA, SPRI, …… etc.

Topics and Theme ICT(or SW) Job Market and Salary in Asia : market status, employment, salary, majors, implications, etc. Digital strategy and governance in the Asian economies : National agendas and initiative, structure of implementing body, etc. ICT start-ups in Asia : importance, ecosystem, driving policies, etc.

Expected Outcome Printed paper circulated in ASOCIO Summit 2017 and WCIT 2017 in Taiwan (Sept. 2017) Online version released on the website Media/press conference Press release in each members’ economy
