Our goals We want to design community specific e-infrastructures Start from generic e-infrastructures  1st session Present community use cases 2nd session Background; Users – Use case; Status; Plans for today Analyse use cases and generic services  Afternoon break-out sessions 1st – 1h: Discuss and complete ‘Users and Use case’ 2nd – 1.5h: Define design and implementation plan What we will also do Challenge the use cases; Challenge e-infrastructures Dialogue between use cases and e-infrastructure providers Refine/re-assess use cases in the context of existing services Identify technologies that should be brought into e-infrastructures ....

Expected outcomes Design and implementation plans for community-specific e-infrastructures E-infrastructure questions are answered (technical and other) Better understanding of the featured scientific use cases Social network formed between use cases and e-infrastructure service providers Gaps in e-infra offerings, and service candidates to fill these gaps ....

Participants Use case providers Potential use cases Data management platform for Design Thinking Research Symposiums Challenges Posed by Processing Scientific Data at ELI European Research Initiative in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) Multi-scale complex Genomics VRE Open Digital Research Environment Toolkit for the Advancement of Mathematics (OpenDreamKit VRE) Community service/technology providers CVMFS, DIRAC, Occopus, B2*, Indico-DataCloud, Invenio, … EGI service providers EUDAT service providers GEANT service providers OpenAire service providers ....

Agenda & logistics 5 groups + 1? ....
