How are hunger & appetite different? Hunger – unlearned, unborn response. Signal to the brain from nerve endings in our stomach Appetite – desire to eat, rather than a need. Tip: when you feel full….stop eating. It takes 20 mins for your stomach to signal your brain you are satisfied.
