Alive-0 6 Term 3: Lesson 1 (part 2) The Risen Jesus

Mary Magdalene Mary Magdalene was very excited. They could hear her on the street before she burst into the room. It was very early in the day for that kind of noise. The friends of Jesus knew that she had news.

She told them how she met Jesus again. It was a lot for them to take in. Surely Jesus was dead. Did he not die on the cross on Good Friday?

Now, Mary Magdalene was saying that he was a live Now, Mary Magdalene was saying that he was a live. Nothing like this had ever happened before. No one had ever overcome death. They didn’t know what to think.

Mary Magdalene wasn’t the only one to meet the Risen Jesus Mary Magdalene wasn’t the only one to meet the Risen Jesus. Over the days that followed, he appeared to his friends a number of times.

At first they were stunned and couldn’t speak At first they were stunned and couldn’t speak. But eventually they came to realise that it was true. This really was Good News!

They were all happy that Jesus was still with them; he was with them in a new way and different way. He would always be their friend. They were still connected to him.

They remembered that Jesus had said on the night before he died: ‘Stay connected with me and I will stay connected with you’.

‘Yes’, said John, ‘remember how he said, ‘I am the vine and you are the branches’. We are always going to be close to Jesus.’ Peter said, ‘and Jesus is always going to be close to us.’
