Aftermath Main French army leaves the field for Bouganville Sept 18- the city surrenders to the British With winter coming the British fleet moves out of the St Lawrence Second battle fought… Battle of Sainte-Foy (now Laval University site) British forces from Quebec City under Sir James Murray are defeated However the French are unable to retake Quebec City before a British fleet arrived in mid-May With the French fleet destroyed on Sept 8th, 1760 the French army in New France surrenders to the British
