St. Matthews Primary School Number 6 Thursday 13th October, 2016 www.stmatthews.cumbria.sch.uk AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS TUESDAY ARCHERY CLUB - 3.15 to 5pm Y5 and Y6 TUESDAY ASIA CLUB - 12 to 12.30pm THURSDAY NO FILM CLUB THIS WEEK ARCHERY COST £2 FILM AND ASIA CLUB COSTS £1 EACH FOREST SCHOOL On Friday 14th Oct. it’s Y5 & Y6’s turn to do Forest School. They will need to bring old clothes, waterproofs and wellies. HEAD LICE Just to make parents/cares aware that we have had a report of head lice in school this week, which has been dealt with. Could parents please check their child/children’s hair to ensure that the infection doesn’t spread. Thank you. FRIENDS OF ST MATTHEW’S SCHOOL AGM MONDAY 17th OCT 3.30pm IN SCHOOL EVERYONE WELCOME HARVEST MEAL - Wednesday 19th October We are doing our Harvest Festival a little differently this year. The children are making soup and bread in school and parent/carers/relatives and friends are welcome to come along and enjoy the fruits of their labour on Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm. There will be a charge of £2 each, proceeds going to McMillan Fund. There will be various activities going on around the school and a special assembly by the children. EVERYONE WELCOME As usual we will be collecting donations of fruit and vegetables for distribution to pensioners around the village.

HALLOWEEN DISCO HALLOWEEN DISCO The Friends of St Matthew’s school have organised a children’s Halloween Disco, on THURSDAY 20 October, 5pm - 7pm at Westnewton Village Hall Fancy Dress, Hot dogs, Sweets and Party games. Everyone welcome HALLOWEEN DISCO HALF TERM HOLIDAY School closes at 3.15pm next Friday 21st October for the half term break, we re-open on Monday 31st October.
