Edward Weston Edward Weston was a early 20th century photographer based in the USA. He has been called “one of the masters of 20th century photography” and some of his pictures have been some of the highest selling of all time. He experimented with many different styles of photography including, landscapes photography

What background do they have that allowed them to be a photographer? Edward doesn’t have a background that would have pushed him to photography except his father who gave him his first camera, a kodak bull's eye #2 camera

What was their inspiration for getting into photography? How long have they been a photographer? He got a camera from his father when he was 16 Weston’s Most Famous Picture of Food Photography: Pepper # 30 What was their inspiration for getting into photography? He developed a passion when he took pictures with the camera that his father had given him.

Have they been published in books? Magazines? Journals? Edward Weston’s work has been published many times in many different mediums including many different Books and Exhibits. What might their income be as a photographer? Due to the fact that he constantly changed his style of photography, stable contracts and a good portion of his career was in the depression, income was erratic and unstable. At the time of his death Weston had 300$ American in the bank which is roughly 2500$ American in today’s currency. Today food photographers makes an average of $30,490 per year (Median annual wage for all photographers)

Food Photography Food Photography is fairly self explanatory. You take pictures of food for advertising or displays. Photography is used to make the food look more appealing to make you go and buy it.

What equipment is needed for this style? High quality camera, Heavy Lighting tools, Food Bachelor’s degree or formal training What education is needed?

Are there opportunities in this profession? Due to the fact that food is a necessity and the selling of food is one of the most challenging markets in the world, marketing is used aggressively and consequently photography is at the forefront of most marketing campaigns. Fast food is especially lucrative for food photographers due to that highly competitive nature of that industry.
