Introduction to Global Development Group Project Objective Reasons for group projects include (1) simulating a real-world web site implementation effort (where all projects are based on group work) and (2) enabling the execution of more extensive and challenging assignments than could reasonably be completed on an individual basis. Your challenge in the project portion of this course is to study and analysis a simple problem in real world. The goal of this exercise is to learn principles and methods of Web Technology and apply them to the market. Introduction to Global Development 6/15/2018

Introduction to Global Development Project Teams In the second week of the course, we will form project teams on the basis of expressed student preferences. Teams will consist of about three or four students. Once you are assigned to a project team, your team will be counting on you (and a source of support!), so we expect you to stay in the team for the entire term. Introduction to Global Development 6/15/2018

Guidelines for Projects You are strongly encouraged to choose a project satisfying all of the following constraints: You may select an internet based problem in a real world such as stock prediction, purchase, pricing, etc. You are not restricted to these examples. You are required to provide at least two reports based on the information processing of your system. The final project report and presentation is required. The final report should be NO MORE than 30 pages or one journal paper. Introduction to Global Development 6/15/2018

Guidelines for Projects (cont.) First of all, all groups are required to establish specific roles of members (e.g., team manager, system analyst, database designer, interface designer, etc.). At the end of the course, each member of a group will be asked to provide an assessment of the proportion of work done by other members. In addition, all group assignments should meet the due date as appointed. Introduction to Global Development 6/15/2018
