A Word about Research Trials Clinical Research Trials look at new ways to prevent, detect, or treat disease. These trials may use new drugs, new combinations of drugs, or other new treatments to see if they are safe and effective. When an oncologist develops your treatment plan, he investigates clinical trials to see if they could be a part of your plan.

Putnam County Hospital Cancer Registry Program A system designed for the collection, management, and analysis of data on individuals diagnosed with cancer. Information collected is used for reports and teaching conferences that result in improved cancer care for you, your family, and cancer patients in the future.

American Cancer Society Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center is proud to partner with the American Cancer Society. This partnership assists the Cancer Center in providing information to the public about cancer prevention, to our cancer patients concerning cancer and the resources available, and ways to support our cancer program.

Meet Linda Vanrosendale “I’m that person that believes in supporting their community. When I came to the PCH Cancer Center, the doctor and support staff were fantastic. Dr. Workman always took time to sit with me. I like to go home and Google medicines and treatments, so he knows I will come back with questions for him. The support staff is always so friendly and supportive. It’s the little things, like providing lunch if I’m here during that time of the day, that I appreciate. I couldn’t have asked for a better place. I can do what I can do. The rest is in God’s hands.”

Meet Jon Seniour “At the Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center, I’m not just another patient. Dr. Workman tells me straight up what is going on. The girls are all so great. They look forward to me bringing them donuts when I have appointments, and they are great company. Besides the staff, it just really makes it easy for me to keep living my life. The cancer center is close to home so my friends and loved ones can come visit while I’m here getting my treatments. My perspective is positive and I’ve surrounded myself with positive people. It’s not the end of the world. I’m sick, but not dying. I haven’t slowed down a bit.
