BUSINESS ARISING Notice of Motion – Community Committee Member Subsidy – Cr Robyn Stewart “That all community committee members wishing to attend ASCA's National Conference pay $50 per day, and in the event that they wish to attend any social events then they must pay the prescribed fee as outlined in the registration papers. Also, to be eligible, community members must produce a written letter to the Conference Hosts from their committee endorsing them as a community member to their committee.” Moved: Cr Robyn Stewart Seconded: Ald P Hollister AMENDMENT: That the Motion lay on the table and the Australian Sister Cities Association develop a community engagement model for consideration at the 2008 conference noting the financial implications. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT – 2007/2008 ACTIVITIES TREASURER’S REPORT AND AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS 2007/2008 GENERAL BUSINESS OF WHICH DUE NOTICE HAS BEEN GIVEN Notice of Motion “That Sister Cities Australia establish and maintain a minimum capital equity of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) and that this is each year increased by the consumer price index. And that income from the equity be used to further sister city activities in the form of scholarships for study tours and through the scholarships promote and market Sister Cities Australia.” Jim Mynard
