With meditation, I can keep them as molehills.” Monday Reflection “At the end of the day, I can end up just totally wacky, because I've made mountains out of molehills. With meditation, I can keep them as molehills.” www.HumansNotRobots.co.uk

Who said it? Ringo Starr was born as Richard Starkey on July 7, 1940. He grew up in a poor area of Liverpool and taught himself to play the drums. Ringo Starr joined The Beatles after their original drummer left. Although not the best drummer around at the time, he was valued greatly by his fellow band members for his calm, gentle manner. However, during his life he also secretly struggled with anger, depression and alcohol abuse. One of the ways Ringo Starr learned to help himself manage his problems was to use meditation techniques. www.HumansNotRobots.co.uk

“Much outcry, little outcome.” ‘The Mountain in Labour ‘ – An Aesop Fable One day the countrymen noticed that the mountain seemed to be in labour; there was a rumbling, a shaking and the falling of rocks. They gathered around and began to tell dark stories of avalanches, volcanoes and earthquakes. One by one, the countrymen took on a look of dread, sure that something horrible was going to happen. They waited and they waited, but nothing came. They told even more stories. At last a crack appeared in the side of the mountain. They waited at a distance, one looking through a telescope, another on his knees praying, another muttering of dragons and monsters. At last, and at last, a teeny, tiny mouse poked its little head and bristles out of the gap and came running down towards them, and ever after they used to say: “Much outcry, little outcome.”

“It is your mind that creates this world.” ― Gautama Siddhartha Young and free? Old and infirm?
