Romans & Celts Year 4

Step 1: Children to work in pairs. Decide which Gods and Goddesses they are going to research i.e. Celtic (Welsh) or Roman. Children to research information on their Gods and Goddesses – they must find between 8-12. Children to make a list of the names of the deities, their particular skill and any other information they feel is relevant. Step 2: Children are to produce a Spreadsheet with the following information : Name of God Power Rating Skill Rating Importance Rating Children to discuss how they will rate each deity regarding Power, Skill and Importance. There is no right or wrong rating just what they feel If children are doing Roman Gods they should put a formulae into the spreadsheet to change the numerical data into Roman numerals. For example: =Romans(B2:B15)

Step 3: Working in their pairs children to create Top Trumps from the information on their spreadsheets. This can be done with a printed worksheet, however if you want to have a more professional looking set of Top Trumps then use a PC with a template or use Top Trumps IT on an iPad.
