Abhishek Sangu’s Service Project in collaboration with Varma’s Helping Hands
Introduction I am Abhishek Sangu and am in 7th grade at Hyatts Middle School, Ohio. Varma’s Helping Hands is a voluntary organization helping the people in the Ananthapur District of Andhra Pradesh, India at the Government Hospital. I am working with “Varma’s Helping Hands” to help these poor families for food and clothing.
Activities They donate food to patients and their families at the Government Hospital in Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh They also provide help to old age homes by donating groceries and clothes All money raised will go through the Community Recycling Campaign and directly to Varma’s Helping Hands in Ananthapur. Purpose We have good food and clothing by God’s grace. However, poor families in India cannot afford that on a daily basis. The conditions are worse when they have sick people at hospital. Although the government provides hospital services and medicines either free of cost or of subsidized rates, the families supporting the sick patients have to take care of themselves.. Such families can’t even afford to eat a good breakfast on a daily basis. Varma’s Helping Hands has identified the Government Hospital in Ananthapur and an old age home to serve these needy families with food and clothing on a monthly basis.
What Can We Do? We can provide food and clothing to these needy families. You can donate any amount and the money is sent to Varma’s Helping Hands. They organize to prepare food for 1000+ people on any given day, and serve food and water in clean plates and bottles.
