Introduction At the Helsinki EPSO Conference (29-30 sept 2016) prof Marc van Twist presented the final report : Dilemma’s and dynamics of Media management an explorative study on media strategies of health care inspectorate in Europe. After active debate between EPSO members many delegates asked for a follow up. Marc van Twist suggested to organise a masterclass for EPSO delegates. October- November 2016 The idea of a masterclass was discussed between Marc van Twist, Jorren Scherpenisse and Jooske Vos EPSO European Partnership for Supervisory Organisations in health and social care

Plan -1 The idea is : To organize a masterclass training by EPSO secretariat in co-operation with prof. Mark van Twist and Jorren Scherpenisse (Dutch School of Public Governance). Main topic: Classical media and Social media. Master Class with ‘real-life’ and research input from ‘media cases’ in the various EPSO member countries and its supervisory and regulatory practice. Plan -2 Main Aim: a high level non-profit master class for participants to discuss interactively pros and cons of new approaches of a new media strategy for their organisation (supervisory organisations regulators inspectorates). use cases from your own setting and background in combination with the generic concept and research findings from the research conducted by prof Mark van Twist and Jorren Scherpenisse. Plan-3 Time and Location: Autumn 2016 / Spring 2017 / Autumn 2017 in a Nordic country Copenhagen? or in a UK country London ? or a Southern European Country Rome?) Target group/participants: Teams of about 2-4 people per inspection/ regulator PR managers, information officers, department heads, directors, including at least one person who is doing the external presentation (spokesman) of the organisation (usually the CEO) EPSO European Partnership for Supervisory Organisations in health and social care

Plan-4 Costs: p.m. lump-sum per team to cover organizational expenses and speakers costs + travel and accommodation costs. Admission to the training : by application to EPSO and based on criteria depending on the composition of the team and the required individual experiences and qualities of the various team members EPSO European Partnership for Supervisory Organisations in health and social care

Plan-5 Programme outline day 1 1st day: Class meeting of a full day including evening session :  Introduction to theory and practice of Classical media and Social media;  Compact afternoon session: Discussing cases and dilemmas;  Evening session of combined dinner and debate ( talking and walking dinner) EPSO European Partnership for Supervisory Organisations in health and social care
