Global Warming Project Presidential Election By: Hailey Pease & Kailyn Cox

Our Promise as President/Vice President As President and Vice President we promise to do everything in our power to reverse the effects of climate change in this nation, which in turn will reduce it worldwide. We plan to partner with China and India on this issue; because we are the leading nations causing global warming. We promise to give more American people jobs during this process.

What and Why Global Warming is Happening “A gradual increase in overall temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere… caused by increasing levels of carbon dioxide, chlorocarbons, and pollutants.” Why Gases are trapping heat in our atmosphere, causing global warming.

Why is Global Warming Impacting Different Regions Global warming is greatly impacting different regions and ecosystems by changing the environment that the animals and plants live in. Having even just a little difference in temperature can kill plants, which in turn would kill the animals that feed off those plants.

We choose to do methane because although there is less of it in the atmosphere, it traps more heat than carbon dioxide does. And technically we would be reducing the 2 main greenhouse gases during this process. We are using the methane so its not just going into our atmosphere and we are keeping co2 out of our cars so less of it will be burned.

Effects of Methane ~ can cause suffocation ~ decrease the amount of available oxygen in the air ~ nausea ~ headaches ~ cancer ~ birth defects ~ high concentration can lead to explosions ~ more potent than CO2

Gallons of methane Produced Taxes Live Stock Gallons of methane Produced Cost Cattle 594307600000 10% of the profit out of $1000 We will be charging taxes on all of these slaughter house industries. They will be charged a tax, based on the chart above. The “Gallons of Methane Produced” tab is the number of gallons of methane that is produced by each live stock each year by slaughter houses alone. The methane is then taken to a dump. Instead of taking the methane to a dump we will converting the methane into a fuel like substance that can used to power things like cars. This will help reduce global warming because it’s a renewable fuel that if we use it, it cant harm the environment. We plan to partner with China and Brazil.

Meat Prices Meat prices will go up, but not tremendously. We wont be in charge of much meat prices go up, that is up to the company selling the meat to the stores. But we will make sure that the most the price can go up is $1.00 because we aren’t taking very much money form these companies so there shouldn’t be a huge increase in pricing.

Turning Fuel into Methane Methane gets turned into methanol through many chemical reactions, then the methanol gas gets put through 4 reactors, then out of the 4th reactor it gets condensed into gasoline. The non-condensed gas goes back to reactor 1, and gets put through the cycle again. This can all be done in the US, profiting many Americans and creating new jobs. Taking down the unemployment rate from 5.5%.
