Physical Appearance I am going to tell you about what a Othnielia looks like. Othnielia was about 4 feet long weighing about 50 pounds. The Othnielia length was a few inches shorter than me and weighs the same as a medium size dog. The Othnielia was a by-pedal runner. This means it ran on two legs. It is similar to a bird’s beak nowadays. The Othnielia had thin legs and a stiffened tail. This helped it have speed and agility. These are some cool facts about what the Othnielia looks like.

head Diagram long tail Long neck small body Short arms Stiff legs

Hunting and Eating Habits Several things can describe the hunting and eating habits of the Othnielia. The Othnielia was a herbivore. A herbivore is a dinosaur that only ate plants. Next the Othnielia had chisel like cheek teeth. It used those teeth for eating its food. Finally it may have lived in herds. They lived in herds so they could protect them self's and help each other. These are some fascinating facts about the hunting and eating habits of the Othnielia.

That’s more than 10 centuries ago. Next Othnielia was named after Charles Othniel Mash. Charles Othniel Mash was a paleontologist and the Othnielia was named by Galton. Finally fossils of two partial skeletons and teeth were found in Colorado and Utah. Utah and Colorado are a long ways from here. These are clearly really cool facts about the Othnielia.
