Aim: What is Jesus’ mission and role? I. Mission A. Christ is the Greek word for “anointed one” same as Hebrew word Messiah B. To proclaim and make present the reign of God C. Kingdom of God is not a place, it is the rule of God over our hearts

Role A. Prophet hears God’s Word and proclaims the Good News B. Priest represents the people in offering sacrifice to God as He did on the cross C. King is a man who rules in God’s name
