Biography Leonardo was born April 15, 1452, Anchiano, near Vinci, Republic of Florence in 1519, Cloux Leonardo was an Italian painter, draftsman, sculptor, architect, and engineer. Da Vinci was a great engineer and inventor who designed buildings, bridges, canals, forts and war machines. He kept huge notebooks sketching his ideas. Among these, he was fascinated by birds and flying and his sketches include such fantastic designs as flying machines. These drawings are genius for mechanical invention and insight into scientific inquiry, truly centuries ahead of their time.

Science of Leonardo One of them were the lights which may the bodies are of four kinds. These are: diffused light as that of the atmosphere... And Direct, as that of the sun... The third is Reflected light; and there is a 4th which is that which passes through bodies, as linen or paper or the like.

Why is Leonardo impotent Because he formed the basis of much of modern life. Like the airplane, for example, was his invention. He also gave us much of what we know about medicine and the human body, in addition to physics and art.

Leonardo death Leonardo da vinci death is unknown, but most scientists believe he died from natural causes. He died at Clos Lucé, France, on May 2, 1519
