Year 9 Subject Selection – VET Building and ConstructionTaster Picture??

Course Description The Year 9 VET Building & Construction taster program aims to give students a taste of what it is like to undertake a VET program at senior level. While students at Year 9 level are not enrolled in the VET course, they undertake components of several of the modules which senior students would complete. Grades reflect the VET marking system of, C, NC, IP.

Why Study this? Work Tasks Assessment tasks Tasks that reflect the work undertaken to complete the following modules. VU 20955 VU 20957 VU 20971 Outdoor table and chairs Photo frame Students complete parts of the following Modules. VU 20955 – Workplace Safety and Site Induction. VU 20957 – Calculations for the Building Industry. VU 20971 – Carpentry Hand Tools.

Subject pathway…. VET Building and Construction Certificate 11 Apprenticeship/ work in the construction field eg Builder, Plumber, Electrician

Extra activities/costs? All projects made in a Year-9 Elective subjects are paid for within the department budget. There are no extra costs.
