Background The current training modules are for MYTUC training center are outdated and not suitable for the present situation. The relevant and the important of trade unionism does not seems to attract the young generation.

Target Group and Parties Involved All youth and young women leaders of union affiliates to MYTUC. To involve ILO trainer/experts and young leaders of the trade union to develop the program. Parties involved all principles officers of MYTUC. Objectives To have more informed and knowledgeable young leaders in tune to the current trends in employment, labour law and industrial relations. To train young leaders to meet the challenges of trade unionism and to promote decent work in their industries.

Activities to achieve the objectives Meeting and workshop to identify the young leaders. To organise trainer and workshop at the respective workplace. Budget ILO specialist/expert & development module approx. RM15,000. 3 sessions of seminar to identify young leaders approx. RM30,000. Miscellaneous expenses approx. RM5,000.
