SmartJCL is a JCL Checker SmartJCL checks JCL Syntax Dataset allocation Program found / not found, … SmartJCL provides additional functions like Reformat Remote check REXX Interface (to do your own checks) Scheduler Interface (TWSz, Control-M) In combination with the handover system ProcMan, SmartJCL becomes a useful JCL change management tool: Move JCL through all development stages, e.g. from the test system to the integration system to the production system The handover process log and all JCL-Versions are kept in a database (to be reviewed e.g. by auditors)

SmartJCL Eclipse plug-in Edit JCL, click right mouse and select “Execute SmartJCL Remote Check” The JCL is transferred to z/OS and checked there
