NB students can drink non fizzy/ energy drinks other than water outside of lessons i.e. non carbonated non energy drinks such as squash.

Ready to Learn Approximately 58 hours of learning were lost last year due to students attending late to lessons All students will be expected to attend every lesson on time If students do not attend their lesson on time ready to meet and greet their teacher and before the second bell has sounded, they will receive a late mark recorded on the register Any student with a late mark will receive a 15 minute payback at the end of the day for each late mark Parent/Carers will be informed Year 7 have a settling in period and will not be given a consequence until after 18th September

Attendance Target for Year 10 = 96% Any student with 90% attendance is classed as persistently absent from school Haileybury Turnford will continue to work with A10 Attendance Improvement Officer, who will have the responsibility to enforce school attendance and will issue penalty notices including court action where necessary If your son/daughter misses school it is imperative to speak to their teachers when they are back to catch up on the work missed

Be Ready to Learn – attend on time Good attendance and punctuality are essential if students are to achieve their full potential Students must arrive before 8.30am The main school gates will be locked at 8.30am If students arrive after 8.30am they will be marked in as Late and they will be issued with a late payback They will attend a payback with their Assistant Year Achievement Coordinator on the same day at break time ·         Failure to attend this payback will result in further consequences Persistent lateness to school will result in parents/carers being warned and then issued with Fixed Penalty Notices involving a fine.  Breakfast club serves hot and cold food and drinks from 8.00am in the canteen. If a student receives 2 or Lates in one week- 1 hour payback Friday 3 Lates or more- 2 hour payback Students who fail to attend Friday payback…parent meeting with student. If a student receives more than 3 Late marks – a ‘Late Letter’ (after 8.45 am) will be sent to parents/carers informing parents of the number of Lates and the consequences of persistent Lates (Fixed Term Penalty)
