The Command Forms There are THREE Command Forms in PD. Determining which form to use depends on whom you are talking to: One person Multiple people Are you included (lets)

Singular Command Form The Singular Form is used when you are telling ONE person to do something. Drop the E from the Infinitive. gehe – Geh! (Go!) schtoppe – Schtopp! (Stop!)

Plural Command Form The Plural Form is used when you are telling More than ONE person to do something. Drop the E form the Infinitive. Add a T to the end of the verb. geh – Geht! (Go!) kumme – Kummt! (Come!) schtoppe – Schtoppt! (Stop!)

Lets Command The Lets Command Form is used when asking for some action in the sense of Lets (do something) Use the MIR form of the Verb. Add MIR directly following the Verb. geh – Gehne mir! (Lets go!) singe – Singe mir! (Lets sing!)

Lets Command Form Some PD speaker also use the following construction when creating Lets Commands: Loss uns _____ (verb)! Loss uns geh! – Lets go! Loss uns singe! – Lets sing!
