During his brief life, Poe searched for love and acceptance. Perhaps to get even with the world which rejected him, he often wrote stories about revenge. Think about the idea of revenge. What experiences could lead to revenge? How could an obsession with vengeance lead to tragedy? Describe examples of revenge including personal, TV programs, movies, etc.
