What is Hub Cross Dock SW? What is X? What is Hub Cross Dock SW? The Hub Cross Dock Standard Work (SW) outlines the cross dock process for designated Hub DCs within a Hub & Spoke Network Review the purpose on this slide.

Handling Inbound Units from Spokes What is X? Hub Cross Dock SW Handling Inbound Units from Spokes Trucks arrive and park at designated door nearest QUICK locators for that DC Begin Unloading Truck(s) following pre-determined truck unload sequence “Rebalance” items will be unloaded first and separated by destination DC “Sold” items will follow and also be separated by destination DC Place bump tire on the ground Remove any tarp or segregation barrier in the back of the truck Review this slide

Hub Cross Dock SW Handling Inbound Units from Spokes (continued)   Use bump tire to roll to Hub employee Rebalance Product – load onto pallet and stage in designated area for receiving Verification of piece count to be completed by Hub employee Sold Product – stage in the corresponding QUICK locator(s) for that Spoke Barrel stack product with labels facing out to ensure easy receiving. Multiple SKU’s can be in a single stack to save space Goal is to have multiple trucks being unloaded at one time if multiple trucks are currently at the Hub Once Hub product is unloaded from ALL Spoke trucks, one employee should begin to receive *see Spoke Receive Standard Work Document Review this slide

Handling Spoke Pass-Through Units What is X? Hub Cross Dock SW Handling Spoke Pass-Through Units Stage empty pallets opposite from staged product pallets at each lane for Spoke receiving and cross dock purposes Review this slide

Handling Spoke Pass-Through Units What is X? Hub Cross Dock SW Handling Spoke Pass-Through Units 2. Unloading “Rebalance” Spoke product onto staged empty pallets Remove any tarp or segregation barrier to get to first Spoke product Place bump tire on the ground Driver calls out DC # to the stacker and hands the packing list to the stacker Stacker identifies quantity to determine how much product is to be stacked on the pallet Driver bumps product from next Spoke DC to stacker onto furthest empty staged pallet Warehouse employee barrel stacks product onto pallet (try to get all or as much product onto a single pallet) *this is to eliminate having to move more than one pallet if necessary Once all product for that Spoke is unloaded onto the pallet, the stacker does a piece count and matches it against the packing list If quantity is verified, move onto next Spoke product and perform steps a – f If counted quantity does not match then stacker verifies product against packing list If product is deemed missing, stacker makes a note to send an email to receiving Spoke of missing product If product is found, repeat steps a – g Leave packing list with the stacked pallet for each Spoke Review this slide

Unloading “Sold” Spoke product onto staged empty pallets repeat steps 2.a thru 2.l 4. Cross-docking Spoke to Spoke product All trucks are empty of product With driver assistance begin to load staged “Sold” product from Hub to the Spoke *goal is to be loading multiple trucks at one time Driver to verify piece count for their DC Driver puts tarp or divider up once Hub product is completely loaded During step c process, a Hub employee gets on the forklift and begins to move pallets of Spoke product to the corresponding lane. Drop the pallet(s) in the middle of the staging lane Repeat steps b and c until all product has been loaded Once all “Sold” product is loaded, begin loading “Rebalance” product onto the tail of the truck Review this slide
